In general, when we are coding we are very focused on the problem at hand. We’ll try a bunch of stuff, and then go with what works. But our solutions are often not clear from the code itself. Use
#in order to provide comments in the code itself, explaining what each chunk or line does. Especially if you’ve written something compact and clever, like themap()functions above, it may require a lot of effort for someone else (or your future self) to interpret. Comments will help your code be useful for longer.
